Day 1London
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Dubai with Emirates.
Change planes for the early flight to Mahe, landing at 06.45. Here you will be met and shown to your flight on to Praslin Island nearby. From here, you will be driven by private vehicle to the jetty for your ferry ride to La Digue Island. A taxi or ox-cart will take you to the Fleur de Lys Guesthouse where you will stay for four nights.
Settle in here and spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Today you can wander down to the main street where you can hire a bicycle for a few days or the full duration of your stay. This is the best way to get around the island and gives you complete independence to go where you want, and when. They come with baskets in the front so you can pack a picnic, and snorkel masks and fins, and just head to a secluded beach!
If you are interested in birdlife, do take a pair of binoculars with you, as there are some colourful and unusual species on La Digue. The paradise flycatcher is extremely rare and La Digue is one of the only places left where you can see one in the wild!
Anse Source D'Argent is one of the most photographed beaches in the Seychelles and is definitely worth a visit during your stay on the island. The beach is just beautiful, with enormous granite boulders on the headlands at each side of the bay, and some superb snorkelling straight off the beach.
This morning you will take the ferry back to Praslin, where a driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight over to Mahe. Here a driver will be waiting to transfer you to the Chalets D'Anse Forbans, situated on one of the loveliest beaches on the island.
Settle into your chalet here and spend the afternoon on the beach or enjoying a good book under the shade of a palm tree. The guesthouse offers car hire on site, making it really easy for you to hire a car for the day to explore. If you want to just stay put, there are also several restaurants you can visit just down the beach.
Day 7Mahe
There is plenty to do on Mahe such as visiting the capital Victoria to learn a little more about the history of the islands or take a drive out to nearby beaches and stop for lunch in a local restaurant.
Day 8Mahe
If snorkelling is something you particularly enjoy, there are plenty of small islands and marine parks to visit off Mahe. St Anne is a particular highlight, as the marinelife here is really superb.
Day 9Mahe
If you fancy getting out on the water, you can hire a windsurfing board or a small catamaran for a couple of hours on Beau Vallon bay, which you may enjoy at some point during your stay.
Day 10Mahe
Your final full day on the beach which you can spend doing as much or as little as you like.
