Day 1London - Dubai
Fly from London to Dubai and then on to Mahe.
On arrival you will transfer to another Air Seychelles flight over to Praslin. Here you will be met and taken to Bai St Anne jetty to catch the ferry over to La Digue. On arrival you will be met and guided to one of the few taxis on the island and transferred with you luggage to Fleur de Lys for the next four nights.
Relax this afternoon, you can hire a bike from one of the locals down the road for your stay as this will be the main means of transport, or walking, it is fantastic fun and a wonderful way to explore the island.
Visit some of the many beautiful beaches here; there are some real gems you can find which are really quiet by cycling around. The bikes have baskets so you can easily store your snorkelling gear, as there are some wonderful spots for some excellent snorkelling.
You may want to visit the green hillside area, where you may be able to spot the rare black paradise flycatcher, this is one of the areas where this rare bird still remains. Whilst here admire wild orchids growing on palm tree trunks and enjoy the peace and quiet.
A final day at leisure on La Digue to do some more exploring or simply relax at the beach with a good book and soak up the Indian Ocean sunshine.
Today you will be taken back to the jetty for the ferry ride over to Praslin. Here you'll be met and driven to L'Archipel where you will spend the next week enjoying the activities and beaches Praslin has to offer.
You can choose between many activities on Praslin. The hotel will help you arrange snorkelling trips to nearby reefs. Whilst the coral is bleached on the Seychelles the fish life is superb. Snorkelling in the Seychelles myself I`ve seen literally hundreds of fish and a large number of turtles.
During your stay at L'Archipel you might like to hire a car and zip about the island (its very small so this usually takes a day or maximum two). You can explore the tropical rain forest, or head up to Anse Lazio to have a superb lunch at the Bonbon Plume restaurant (excellent seafood). Or, you might just like to find a beach and snooze under a palm tree.
You will no doubt wish just to relax some days. L'Archipel is well suited to this with an excellent beach, shady pool and very attentive staff.
A further suggestion for your time at on Praslin is to take a snorkel trip to Cocos Island. The snorkelling here is excellent. Do put on a lot of sun-cream however as the sun can be extremely strong in the Seychelles.
A trip to Vallee du Mai is another worthwhile excursion if you're feeling energetic. This is a pretty little reserve in the centre of the island where a guide will take you along the winding trails explaining all about the local flora and fauna including the infamous coco de mer tree which is found no where else in the world.
Final day to enjoy the sunshine and beaches and relax.
Today you will be taken back to Praslin airport for your flight over to Mahe in time for your flight back to the UK. You will fly overnight, arriving back in the UK the following day.
