Day by Day

Day 1London

You will fly to Lusaka today from the UK.

Day 2Lusaka Airport - South Luangwa National Park

You will land in Lusaka this morning before catching your onward flight to the South Luangwa National Park. A Bushcamp Company guide will meet you here and drive you into the South Luangwa National Park for a three night stay in a stylish double chalet at Mfuwe Lodge. In the evening you will be taken on your first game drive, keeping a keen eye out for the nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3South Luangwa National Park

Today you will participate in morning and afternoon game viewing activities. The South Luangwa National Park is regarded as one of the finest safari destinations in Africa, and the game is phenomenally varied.

Day 4South Luangwa National Park

Morning and afternoon activities from Mfuwe Lodge. Your afternoon game drive will be interrupted by sundowners in the bush, and then it's time for your guide to search for leopard. The South Luangwa is known as one of the best destinations in Africa for leopard spotting.

Day 5South Luangwa National Park - Mfuwe - Lilongwe - Cape Maclear

You will leave the South Luangwa today and travel to Mfuwe airport to meet your flight to Lilongwe. After clearing immigration you will be driven to Cape Maclear. This evening you will arrive at Danforth Yachting to enjoy your first sunset over Lake Malawi.

Day 6Cape Maclear

There are a number of water sports you can participate in at Danforth Yachting. You may choose to take part on some of the watersports on offer including snorkelling, water-skiing, wake-boarding and dingy sailing. If you are feeling active, you can borrow mountain bikes or explore the Cape Maclear area on foot.

Day 7Cape Maclear

There is a dive shop at Danforth and the lake provides a comfortable environment for beginners to try their first dive. Your hosts Howard and Michelle also own a yacht, the Mufasa, and a sunset cruise on board is a great pleasure.

Day 8Cape Maclear

Full day to explore and relax at Danforth Yachting. You may like to take one of the small boats out to explore some of the lovely coastline today.

Day 9Cape Maclear

A relaxing day at Danforth. Snorkelling, swimming and snoozing on the beach.

Day 10Cape Maclear - Lilongwe - Johannesburg

You will leave Cape Maclear today and head back to Lilongwe to meet your flight to Johannesburg and then back to the UK overnight.
