Day by Day

Day 1London

Today you will fly overnight to Johannesburg

Day 2Johannesburg - Livingstone & The Victoria Falls

On arrival you will connect onto your flight up to Livingstone where you will clear immigration, be met and taken to you hotel. You will have the rest of the afternoon to visit the falls.

Day 3Livingstone & The Victoria Falls

You have a day to explore the Falls. You might like to walk to the Falls in the early morning or book one of the many available activities at your hotel such as a boat cruise on the Zambezi, a helicopter flight over the Falls or a trip to Livingstone Island.

Day 4Livingstone & The Victoria Falls

Another day to explore the falls, you may like to take a drive in the Mosi-au-Tunya National Park, a boat cruise or simply travel into Livingstone to explore.

Day 5Livingstone & The Victoria Falls - South Luangwa National Park

Today you will be transferred by road back to Livingstone airport. Here you will catch your flight up to Mfuwe Airport in the South Luangwa National Park. You will be transferred to Mfuwe Lodge this afternoon in time for an evening game activity.

Day 6South Luangwa National Park

Your first full day on safari. You will participate in morning and afternoon game viewing activities. The South Luangwa National Park is regarded as one of the finest safari destinations in Africa, and the game is phenomenally varied.

Day 7South Luangwa National Park

A full day of game viewing activities from Mfuwe Lodge. Bushcamp's guides are among the best in Africa, and the South Luangwa National Park is one of the world's finest safari destinations.

Day 8South Luangwa National Park

Today you can join morning and evening game drives. After sipping sundowners in the bush keep your eyes peeled for leopard as darkness falls - the South Luangwa is known as the best place in Africa for leopard spotting. During the day you might wish to relax in the pool at Mfuwe Lodge, which overlooks a large lagoon where herds of elephant and buffalo congregate at waterholes.

Day 9South Luangwa National Park - Mfuwe - Lusaka Airport - Kafue National Park

In the morning you will be driven to Mfuwe airport for two light aircraft transfers (via Lusaka) to Busanga Airstrip, in the Kafue National Park. Wilderness Safaris will meet you at the airstrip and take you to Lufupa Camp, for a three night stay in a comfortable en suite room. This area of the Kafue is renowned for an excellent variety of safari activities and game.

Day 10Kafue National Park

You will enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing activities from Lufupa. The Kafue is one of the most remote, authentic experiences to be found in Africa, and Wilderness employ some of the finest guides in Zambia.

Day 11Kafue National Park

Another full day of game viewing from Lufupa. Kafue is the only national park in Zambia where you will find cheetah, and it is also home to the famous tree climbing lions, who have developed this talent due to heavy flooding in the wet season.

Day 12Kafue National Park - Lusaka Airport - Lusaka

You will leave the Kafue today and fly back to Lusaka. This evening you will have time to relax and enjoy dinner at your city hotel.

Day 13Lusaka

Early this morning you will be transferred to catch your flight back to the UK.

Arrive back into the UK
