When to go to Zambia

Zambia is situated in the tropics and receives strong sunlight and good rainfall.

It has a dry season from May to the end of October and a rainy season from November to April. In the dry season you can expect clear blue skies and sunshine as well as excellent game viewing. From November onwards, Zambia receives high rainfall, many areas become inaccessible and the camps in the Kafue and Lower Zambezi close.

The lodges in the Luangwa stay open and offer excellent boat safaris which are especially good for bird-watching.
