Ormiston House is one of Tasmania's most beautiful stately homes and was built by Frederick Ormiston Henry, the founding father of Strahan in the late 1880's.

The charming manor has wonderful views of Macquarie Harbour and is set within landscaped gardens featuring magnificent magnolia trees, camellias, azaleas, roses and rhododendrons.

The five luxury en-suite rooms are individually designed with a distinctive attention to detail and the house has a bar and lounge featuring wine tasting of premium Tasmania wines.

Ormiston House makes a relaxing base to explore the breathtaking beauty and majestic scenery of the Gordon and Franklin Rivers.
