A 3,000 acre property in the sheep pastureland of Kangaroo Island may not be where you expect to find stylish and sophisticated accommodation, but Stranraer Homestead is an unusual haven.

Dating back to the 1920s, Stranraer has been fully restored into an elegant retreat, especially welcome after a day spent touring the island.

There are four guestrooms, each with a cosy log fire, and the delicious dinner prepared by your hosts Lynne and Graham is a glorious highlight to end each day.
