The Islington is a very special, small, luxury hotel with a long history and a large and delightful garden, affording quite delightful views of Mount Wellington.

Decorated with fine artworks and furnished with antiques, the Islington appeals to those who want the very best in life, surrounded by great service, presented in an atmosphere of serenity, luxury and tranquillity.

Built in 1847, the hotel is a fine example of Regency architecture recently restored to showcase its original glory and up-dated to include the little necessities and amenities travellers of old over-looked, such as a luxury bathrooms, a mountain-view pavilion and a fine wine cellar.

A fifteen minute walk or so will take you to the centre of the friendly, bustling city of Hobart.
