Australian Wildlife
Australia is well-known for its kangaroos and koalas, but delve a little deeper and you will find a whole host of unusual and interesting wildlife just waiting to be discovered.
Think of Australian wildlife and it's inevitable that certain creatures will spring to mind; koalas, kangaroos, sharks, maybe even spiders will come top of the list, and not far behind will be the likes of possums, wallabies, crocs, perhaps even the odd snake or two.
Internationally recognised as symbols of Australia (where would we be without Skippy the Bush Kangaroo?) no trip to the country would be complete without making friends with at least one of these animals, however for the true wildlife enthusiast Australia's lands and waters offer much, much more.
The following pages provide an insight into a number of the wildlife species present throughout Australia, the parks in which you can view the wildlife, and some itinerary ideas which show how wildlife can be the incorporated into, or if you prefer, the main focus, of a tailor-made trip to Australia.
