Day by Day

Day 1London

Fly overnight to Singapore with your chosen international carrier.

Day 2Singapore - Darwin

Connect in Singapore to your onward Qantas Airways / Jetstar code share flight to Darwin which arrives in the early hours of tomorrow morning. We have reserved your accommodation in Darwin from today so that you can check straight in on arrival and go to sleep.

Day 3Darwin

You will be met on arrival and handed your Australia travel documents before a private transfer to your hotel in the centre of Darwin. Enjoy a good night's sleep and when you wake spend the day exploring the capital of the north perhaps by open top bus or on a harbour boat tour. Enjoy a meal on the water front this evening. If you happen to be here on a Thursday or Sunday we recommend some time wandering through the Mindl Beach markets around sunset.

Day 4Darwin - Kakadu National Park

After breakfast collect your hire car and drive to Jabiru in the Kakadu National Park. You may wish to stop off at the Adelaide River to see the jumping crocodiles and later perhaps drive north of Jabiru to visit the Aboriginal rock art site at Ubirr.

Day 5Kakadu National Park

Today join a small group tour that will take you into Arnhemland. You will spend some time at Injalak Hill to view the rock art with an Aboriginal guide as well as enjoying the spectacular escarpment scenery.

Day 6Kakadu National Park - Darwin

Drive down to the Gagudju Lodge Cooinda where you will be picked up for your Yellow Waters Cruise this morning before spending the rest of the day visiting rock art and rock pool sites under the escarpment. This afternoon wind your way back to Darwin through the wetlands at a leisurely pace and drop off your hire car at the city centre depot after checking back in at your hotel.

Day 7Darwin - Alice Springs

Ask reception to organise a taxi back to the airport this morning and check in for your Qantas Airways flight to Alice Springs. On arrival take the shuttle coach to your resort on the outskirts of Alice and spend your afternoon at leisure exploring this interesting town.

Day 8Alice Springs - Uluru/Ayers Rock

Ask reception to organise a taxi or catch the transfer bus to Alice Springs Airport for your flight to Uluru / Ayers Rock. You have a courtesy transfer to your accommodation on arrival. This afternoon is at leisure to relax and enjoy the views from the resort. You might like to swim in the pool or visit the local cultural shops before watching sunset over the Uluru Outback.

Day 9Uluru/Ayers Rock

This morning you will be collected from your hotel by SEIT for your small group tour to Kata Tjuta or The Olgas. The pick up is at 04.45 to catch the sunrise over the rock and enjoy the setting before breakfast at Walpa Gorge and a walk through the Valley of the Winds before the crowds arrive. You return to your hotel at about 10.30. Spend the day at leisure before being picked up this afternoon at 15.00 for a visit to the magnificent Uluru rock and tour of the fascinating base rock formations followed by sunset from the rock viewing platform and a transfer back to the resort for evening meal.

Day 10Uluru/Ayers Rock - Perth

A courtesy transfer is included back to the airport this morning for your Qantas Airways flight to Perth. On arrival take a taxi from the rank to your accommodation in the city centre and perhaps enjoy a meal at one of Perth's excellent restaurants.

Day 11Perth

A morning at leisure to take a bus tour of the city from Barrack Street Jetty where you can also catch ferry boats to the south shore of the Swan River. Use the free central bus network to reach Kings Park for lunch at the Botanical Gardens restaurant and then meet your guide, Greg outside at about 13.20 for a fascinating guided walk through the gardens and an introduction to the aboriginal history of this region. Afterwards you can catch the free bus back to the city centre or walk down the hill into the city.

Day 12Perth - Singapore

Take a taxi back to the airport this morning and check in for your international flight to Singapore where you connect to your onward overnight flight to London Heathrow.

Day 13London

Your flight arrives home to London Heathrow Terminal 3.
