Archaeologists uncover Ned Kelly bullet remains: 06-05-2008

Archaeologists digging in north-eastern Victoria, Australia, have uncovered the remains of bullets that could have been fired during Ned Kelly's last stand.
A month-long excavation has already uncovered evidence of the historic period of Australian culture.
The outlaw was captured in a gun fight at the Glenrowan Inn in north-eastern Victoria on June 28th 1880, when he took 60 local people as hostages.
But the site is being brought back to life as archaeologists, conservationists and students attempt to excavate the site and search for historical information.
According to the Herald Sun, the archaeologists have already uncovered a piece of metal and a bullet casing that is likely to have come from the battle.
A metal detector uncovered the findings and they are now being analysed to determine if they can be matched to the site.
