First London Sydney bus trip departs: 17-09-2007

Travelling to Australia by bus rather than plane offers the chance to see a lot of scenery on the 15,000 mile trip.
Taking 84 days to travel from London to Sydney, the bus route is definitely for the more experienced traveller. Overall, the bus will travel through 20 different counties and average around 180 miles per day so that its passengers have plenty of time to indulge in a spot of sightseeing.
Accommodation is rather limited on the trip with a combination of cheap hostels and camping sites but the special adventure does offer a great hands-on way of seeing some of the world's most spectacular cities.
Highlights including visiting Dracula's castle in Transylvania, exploring Esfahan, the former capital of Persia before travelling through Pakistan, India, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Day 74 of the trip finally sees the bus arrive in Australia where travellers are treated to a ten day tour of the country taking in Kakadu National park and Ayers Rock before finally disembarking in Sydney.
