Organic Festival promotes green living in NZ: 09-01-2008

The Organic River Festival in New Zealand is a musical event that aims to promote environmentally friendly life styles.
Taking place in the natural surroundings of Kimberley Reserve, visitors can attend yoga classes, listen to inspirational speakers and learn about a greener way of life.
There are over 150 market stalls that offer tips for healthy and spiritual living as well as food tent that promotes, and sells, organic food.
Visitors are invited to camp under the stars and to take a dip in the nearby river.
Lake Ohau is a glacial lake that outflows into the Ohau River and water sports and other activities take place on the lake while the river is used for swimming.
Visitors looking for a less energetic approach to the area can enjoy long walks around lake and admire the scenery which features the landscape of the southern Alps.
