Seafood festival half price : 03-10-2008

Travellers in Auckland, New Zealand, will soon be able to enjoy the spoils of the sea when the 2009 Auckland Seafood Festival opens on January 24th.
Advance tickets for the three day festival will cost just $10, which is half the price visitors would have paid in 2008.
Festival owners Sanford's chief executive officer Eric Barratt explained that increased sponsorship had allowed the organisers to offer such a reasonable price.
Were delighted to be able to offer such a reasonable ticket price," he said.
"The price is coming down but the event itself is going to be bigger and better.
"With increased sponsorship from Auckland City Council and Heart of the City were able to make this great charity event even more attractive to visitors for the bargain price of just $10.
The event will offer a range of activities and will be based in Halsey Street Wharf Extension in the Heart of Auckland.
Travellers intending to go to the event should get there by 2pm for the blessing of the fleet, which is followed by a greasy pole contest.
