Keikahanui Pearl Lodge

Marquesas Islands

Located 50 steps above a quiet, black-sand beach, this wonderful small lodge overlooks the bay and village of Taiohae in the Marquesas.

Set in luscious tropical gardens, the 20 guest bungalows share this view from sundrenched terraces, are built from local materials and individually furnished by local artists, and all are air-conditioned and spacious.

The restaurant opens onto the terrace and swimming pool, but here guests are encouraged to explore further, with Marquesian guides on hand to introduce the natural wonders of the region, with superb diving amongst manta rays, as well as the archaeological sites of an ancient culture.

Transfer times from the airport are seven minutes by helicopter, or two hours by 4WD.
