Day 1London - Los Angeles
Enjoy a business class flight from London to Tahiti via Los Angeles.
On arrival you will be met with a traditional Tahitian greeting before your Air Tahiti flight to Bora Bora. The flight takes about 45 minutes and on landing you will be greeted by your host or hostess and directed to your hotel boat for the transfer across the lagoon to your accommodation at the Pearl Resort.
At leisure on Bora Bora to relax and enjoy the excellent facilities at your hotel or alternatively perhaps go out to explore the lagoon or nearby deserted motus. There are some outstanding snorkelling sites in the lagoon which can be reached by boat either in a group or on a private tour. In the evening the hotel shuttle can transfer you across the lagoon to the main island where there are some notable restaurants many of which enjoy commanding views of the ocean.
The lagoons on this side of the motu are beautifully clear and quiet and a swim here is often rewarded with a chance encounter with a myriad of fish.
The spa garden at the resort is one of the most beautiful and relaxing in the South Pacific and a couple of hours here will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated.
Enjoy a day relaxing on the beach today and this evening sip cocktails at sunset before a launch transfer to the main island where a number of the finest restaurants on the islands will collect you for a truly romantic dining experience.
The yachts which cruise the lagoon offer sunset cruises which are a very romantic way to top off a day on the beach.
This side of the lagoon contains some remote and deserted motu islands which you can reach by boat and sometimes along the reef for a genuine 'Robinson Crusoe' sensation.
Check out of your accommodation at lunchtime today and take the transfer launch across to the airstrip for your Air Tahiti flight to Raiatea. On arrival your hosts will meet you in the arrivals area and transfer you across the beautiful binary lagoon to the outer reef islands of Taha`a.
This lagoon is one of the finest in the Pacific and it is rare to find more than a handful of people swimming and snorkelling in it at any one time. Pick up your flippers and snorkel and drift with the turtles.
You are close to the culturally rich islands of Taha'a and Raiatea and both are well worth exploring for the day. I particularly recommend the nature river cruises on Raiatea.
The black pearl farms of Taha'a are world famous and a day with the farmers learning their craft will help you select some fine examples to take home.
Taha'a Private Island is one of a chain of uninhabited motu islands along the reef edge. You can wade between them at low tide to find your own desert island.
The Polynesians who lived on Raiatea were some of the most cultured of South Pacific islanders and a day exploring their ancient historical sites is a fascinating experience.
The spa at Taha'a is a romantic experience. Book a double treatment and sit in the gardens afterwards before sipping cocktails watching the sunset over Bora Bora on the horizon.
Enjoy a last day at leisure on your remote island hideaway before the launch transfers you back across the lagoon in the mid afternoon to check in for your Air Tahiti flight to Tahiti.
You transit in Tahiti to the international terminal for your business class flight back to London.
