On arrival in Auckland you will transfer onto your domestic flight to Queenstown. Make your way to your accommodation.

Day at leisure to explore the delights of Queenstown. Take in an exhilarating ride on the Shotover Jet, a true Queenstown icon.

Day 5Queenstown

Today enjoy a full day excursion to the spectacular Doubtful Sound, in the heart of Fiordland.

Day 6Queenstown - Fox Glacier

Pick up your rental vehicle this morning and make the scenic drive over the Haast Pass and north to the glacier townships.

Day 7Fox Glacier

Take a guided walk to the terminal face of Fox Glacier and see close up the beautiful ice formations.

Day 8Fox Glacier - Greymouth - Christchurch

Drive north to Greymouth and drop off your hire car. You will board the TranzAlpine train for a memorable journey through the Southern Alps to Christchurch.

Day 9Christchurch - Kaikoura - Blenheim & The Winelands

Pick up your rental vehicle and drive north to Kaikoura, famed for its marine life. Take a superb whale watching trip out onto the bay. In the afternoon continue along the coast to Blenheim and relax with a glass of the local sauvignon blanc.

Day 10Blenheim & The Winelands - Picton & The Marlborough Sounds - Wellington

It is a short drive to Picton where you board the InterIslander ferry for a journey through the picturesque Marlborough Sounds and across the Cook Strait to Wellington.

Day 11Wellington

Day at leisure to explore the vibrant capital. There is much to see here, but a must is the national museum, Te Papa. Nature lovers should also include a trip to Zealandia, where you have the chance to spot kiwi.

Day 12Wellington - Napier & Hawkes Bay

Pick up a hire car and drive north to Napier today, famed for its Art Deco architecture.

Day 13Napier & Hawkes Bay

Explore the town today, perhaps on a guided walk to experience the Art Deco buildings. Then take a trip out to Cape Kidnappers to see the gannets.

Day 14Napier & Hawkes Bay - Rotorua

Head inland to Rotorua today, at the heart of the thermal plateau.

Day 15Rotorua

Today you have access to Rotorua's main attractions - the Maori cultural centra at Te Puia, the Skyline gondola, and the Polynesian hot springs. Explore at your leisure.

Day 16Rotorua - Auckland

Drive north to Auckland today and check in to your central hotel. Take a walk to the waterfront and soak up some of the atmosphere of this lively city.

Day 17Auckland

Take to the spectacular harbour today on board an America's Cup Yacht. You can either join in with crewing the boat, or simply sit back and enjoy the views.

Make your way out to the airport and board your economy flight home.
