The Samoan climate is dictated by its position in the South Pacific near to the equator.
As with much of this area there is a distinct wet season between November and March and it is drier from April to October, but it does tend to be fairly hot and humid most of the year.
As both main islands are mountainous the interiors can often be shrouded in low cloud and as a general rule more rain falls on the islands’ southern flanks.
