Visit Denali Park Entrance, Alaska

The Denali Park Entrance has a wonderful visitor's centre, located near the railway station, and the nearby National Park headquarters holds excellent dog-sledding demonstrations daily, both are well worth a look.

Alaska

As private vehicles are only able to travel to mile 14 inside Denali National Park, and there are only four accommodation choices in the park itself, most people stay at the park entrance.

The park entrance is really an area that stretches a few miles along the George Parks Highway and is dotted with a wide variety of accommodation options, making it the base for up to ninety per cent of the park's visitors.

Exploring Denali Park Entrance

The entrance has a wonderful visitor's centre, located near the railway station, and the nearby National Park headquarters holds excellent dog-sledding demonstrations daily, both are well worth a look.

A shuttle service operates throughout the region with regular buses from the station to most hotels. The park entrance is also the departure point for day tours within Denali National Park and is also the jumping off point for thrilling rafting and flightseeing trips.
