As private vehicles are only able to travel to mile 14 inside Denali National Park, and there are only four accommodation choices in the park itself, most people stay at the park entrance.
The park entrance is really an area that stretches a few miles along the George Parks Highway and is dotted with a wide variety of accommodation options, making it the base for up to ninety per cent of the park's visitors.
