    Canada enjoys a busy schedule of festivals and events, the majority of which take place during the summer months. Perhaps the most well-known of all the annual events is the Calgary Stampede, a ten-day festival which takes place in the second week of July. Dating back to 1912, the event showcases the area’s Wild West roots, with chuck-wagon races, a rodeo, bands, dancing and exhibitions.

This historic property is just a five minute walk from the shores of the famous Lake Louise. Originally built in the 1920s as a log tea house, guest rooms were added a few years later but the property still retains its rustic charm.

There is a variety of guest rooms but the modern Heritage rooms are more spacious. There is a delightful roof-top hot tub and a dining room with an enviable reputation.

Deer Lodge offers excellent value for money for a property within such easy reach of the lake.
