Collect your hire car from downtown Vancouver and drive past Stanley Park and over the Lion's Gate Bridge out of the city. Continue along the scenic Sea to Sky highway to the mountain village of Whistler.
Spend a full day exploring Whistler. You may wish to take a gondola to the summit of Blackcomb or Whistler mountain, go walking in the mountains, or take part in some of the many activities.
Today you depart Whistler and drive through the arid ranch lands of British Columbia's interior. Passing the mighty Fraser River, continue to Clearwater, the nearest town to Wells Gray National Park.

Day 8Clearwater - Jasper
Your drive today takes you past mighty Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Shortly afterwards you will cross into the province of Alberta and arrive at the small town of Jasper.
Jasper National Park awaits your discovery today. You may wish to visit Maligne Lake and Canyon, take a boat trip to picturesque Spirit Island or look for wildlife in the mountains.
This morning take a float trip along the beautiful Athabasca River. The afternoon is free for you to explore the town.
Drive along the spectacular Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Lake Louise. Do stop en route to take a Snow Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier. This day will be a scenic highlight so do allow plenty of time to stop and explore.
Spend a day enjoying the glorious scenery around Lake Louise. Nearby Moraine Lake is also well worth exploring and the area offers lots of opportunities for seeing wildlife.
Drive from Lake Louise to Banff where you have the afternoon free to explore this bustling town.
Day at leisure in Banff. You may wish to visit the hot springs, take a gentle float down the Bow River or take the gondola to the stunning summit of Sulphur Mountain.
This morning drive to Calgary Airport to drop off your hire car prior to boarding your overnight flight back to the UK.
