Day by Day

Day 1London - Vancouver

Fly from the UK to Vancouver and on arrival make your own way to your hotel.

Day 2Vancouver

Day at leisure in Vancouver. There are plenty of sights to see in this cosmopolitan city including Stanley Park, Chinatown, historic Gastown, and the shops of Robson Street.

Day 3Vancouver

Spend a second day exploring the many sights this vibrant city has to offer.

Day 4Vancouver - Victoria

Collect your hire car from downtown Vancouver and drive south to the ferry port at Tsawwassen. Board the B.C. Ferry to Vancouver Island and then drive to Victoria, British Columbia's capital city.

Day 5Victoria

Join an exciting three hour whale watching trip from Victoria. The area is renowned for being home to resident pods of orca whales so you should be rewarded with some great sightings. The afternoon is free to explore the city.

Day 6Victoria - Tofino

Drive from Victoria to Tofino on the Pacific coast of Vancouver Island. The route takes you over the wooded mountains of the island's interior before descending to the lovely small town of Tofino.

Day 7Tofino

Spend a thrilling few hours searching for black bears as they forage for clams along the shoreline. The afternoon is free to explore the galleries or go for a walk along the beautiful empty driftwood-strewn beaches.

Day 8Tofino - Campbell River

Leaving Tofino, drive east over the central mountains to the small town of Campbell River on the island's east coast.

Day 9Campbell River

This morning join a thrilling snorkelling trip with a difference - with salmon! Afterwards you may wish to visit the salmon hatchery or try your hand at fishing or some of the many other available activities.

Day 10Campbell River - Whistler

Take the ferry from Vancouver Island to Horseshoe Bay on the B.C. mainland and then drive along the Sea to Sky Highway to the mountain resort of Whistler. The remainder of the day is free to explore.

Day 11Whistler

Spend a full day exploring Whistler. You may wish to take a gondola to the summit of Blackcomb or Whistler mountain, go walking in the mountains, or take part in some of the many activities.

Day 12Whistler - Wells Gray Provincial Park

Today you depart Whistler and drive through the arid ranch lands of British Columbia's interior. Passing the mighty Fraser River, continue to Clearwater, the nearest town to Wells Gray Provincial Park.

Day 13Wells Gray Provincial Park

Join a four hour guided hike through Wells Gray's pristine mountain scenery. The afternoon is free to go horse-riding, fishing or white water rafting. Whatever you do, don't miss a visit to the spectacular waterfalls that Wells Gray Park is so well known for.

Day 14Wells Gray Provincial Park - Jasper

Your drive today takes you past mighty Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Shortly afterwards you will cross into the province of Alberta and arrive at the small town of Jasper.

Day 15Jasper

Jasper National Park awaits your discovery today. You may wish to visit Maligne Lake and Canyon, take a boat trip to picturesque Spirit Island or look for wildlife in the mountains.

Day 16Jasper - Canmore

Drive south from Jasper, along the spectacular Icefields Parkway, to Canmore. There are many breathtakingly beautiful lakes and glaciers to admire en route like Lake Louise and Castle Mountain.

Day 17Canmore

Spend the day exploring Banff National Park which lies just a few minutes drive away. There are lots of activities to explore in this stunning region or you may just prefer to discover the town.

Day 18Canmore - Calgary

The morning is free for last minute shopping or sightseeing before driving to Calgary Airport to drop off your hire car prior to boarding your overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 19London

Arrive back in the UK.
