Day 1London - Liberia - Tenorio Volcano

Fly to Costa Rica. On arrival you will be transferred to Tenorio Lodge.

Day 2Tenorio Volcano

Day at leisure/optional excursions e.g. Rio Celeste, hot springs, waterfalls, wildlife refuges, Palo Verde National Park, Hanging Bridges of Las Heliconias, white water rafting (grades I-IV), Finca Gavilan butterfly gardens, Las Hornillas mud pots and hot springs, the Miravalles canopy tour, horseriding, birding, mountain biking and fishing.

Day 3Tenorio Volcano - Arenal Volcano

Transfer from Tenorio Lodge to Arenal.

Day 4Arenal Volcano

Morning excursion to the hanging bridges followed by an excursion around the Arenal Volcano National Park. Evening excursion to the Ecotermales Hot Springs.

Day 5Arenal Volcano

Full day excursion to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge.

Day 6Arenal Volcano - Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui

Transfer from Arenal to Sarapiqui. Afternoon ziplining excursion.

Day 7Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui

Day at leisure/optional excursions e.g. Tirimbina reserve, chocolate tour, hiking from La Selva Biological station, pineapple plantation tour, white water rafting (class II-IV), zip-lining, horse-riding, rappelling, hiking, bird-watching and mountain biking.

Day 8Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui - Tortuguero National Park

Transfer from Sarapiqui to Tortuguero National Park. Afternoon jungle excursions. All meals included in your stay.

Day 9Tortuguero National Park

Further jungle excursions.

Day 10Tortuguero National Park - Turrialba

Transfer from Tortuguero to Turrialba. Afternoon at leisure/optional excursions e.g. Guayabo National Monument tour, agricultural tours, excursions to macadamia and coffee plantations, hiking in the Espino Blanco Biological Reserve, horse riding, kayaking, canopy tours, canyoning and ATV tours.

Day 11Turrialba

Excursion to the Turrialba Volcano.

Day 12Turrialba - Pacuare Lodge

Transfer from Turrialba to Pacuare Lodge, undertaking white water rafting for part of the journey. All meals included in your stay.

Day 13Pacuare Lodge

Day at leisure/optional excursions e.g. canopy tour, trekking to a remote Cabecar Indian village, gentle forest walks to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole, horseriding and birdwatching.

Day 14Pacuare Lodge - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Transfer to the Caribbean Coast rafting part of the journey.

Day 15Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Excursion to the Cahuita National Park.

Day 16Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

Day at leisure/optional excursions e.g. cycling, excursion to the Gandoca Manzanillo wildlife refuge, horseback riding, dolphin watching, excursions to Bocas del Toro in Panama, chocolate tours, sportfishing, quadbiking and trips to indigenous communities.

Day 17Puerto Viejo de Talamanca - San Jose

Transfer back to San Jose for your international flight back to London Heathrow via Houston.
