On the southernmost tip of the Osa Peninsula, Lapa Rios is built over 100 metres above the sea, sitting above the canopy of the surrounding tropical dry forest. The main lodge and 16 bungalows line three ridges, connected by paths and steps, that catch the cooling sea breezes. Spacious accommodation features classic bamboo furnishings, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, beautiful bathrooms with hot water, garden showers and private terraces overlooking the ocean. The main lodge and restaurant have great views and there is a 16 metre observation tower, fabulous for birdwatching.
