Situated in the southeastern part of El Petén, Chimino’s Island Lodge is located on the Petexbatun Lagoon, in Punta de Chimino. Small, simple and peaceful with only five spacious bungalows, all with private facilities and mosquito nets, the property is set in beautiful natural surroundings. A variety of tropical wildlife and birds can be spotted here and the lodge is close to lessvisited Mayan sites, such as Aguateca, Ceibal and Dos Pilas. Access from Flores takes 45 minutes by road followed by a 90 minute boat ride.
