Audley in Honduras
Honduras is a peaceful and friendly country that offers relatively straightforward travel in the main. However, economically it is poor and the mountainous interior has minimal road structure so much of the country is still waiting to be discovered, which our specialists are keen to do as it opens up. Honduras is a fabulous country to visit in its own right, especially for divers and snorkellers, but is often and easily combined as an overland trip with neighbouring Guatemala.
Accommodation
There are charming places to stay in Copán and Pico Bonito, but throughout the rest of the mainland accommodation can be rather simple. On the Bay Islands our specialists have researched and chosen a few of their favourite options that are in keeping with the Caribbean atmosphere, thus avoiding the all-inclusive style resorts that seem to be making an appearance. They are of the more rustic luxury type but are unique and in fantastic locations.
