International Guitar Festival in Mexico: 06-03-2008

Guitars are the focus of a big international festival in Mexico this March which sees a week of live performances in Zihuatanejo.
The International Guitar Festival brings the tones of different guitar players with their differing styles to venues across the city with bars, restaurants and many more hosting the events.
Jam sessions are held during the afternoons with free performances in the main plaza and esplanade to keep the crowds entertained.
Styles at the festival range from classical to funk as well as Latin and blues and some acoustic sets.
Taking place all this week, the festival is in its fifth year and attracts guitar fans from all over Latin America and the world.
In addition to the beautiful music, travellers can also visit the picturesque beaches and experience the charm of fishing villages in the area.
