Tranquilo Bay is a small, family-run hotel set back in the rainforest overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It is just 30 minutes by boat from Bocas del Toro and is a perfect base to explore the neighbouring islands. The hotel consists of six eco-lodges, four of which have stunning ocean views. The lodges are minimalistic yet comfortably decorated with local handcrafted furniture and each has a tiled interior with French doors leading onto a covered porch. A multitude of activities can be arranged including birding, fishing, jungle hiking, snorkelling, diving or simply relaxing on a deserted tropical island beach.
