Visit Cuba

  • Beaches

It’s surprisingly easy to forget Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean and has by far the most beaches. The powder white sand and blue waters of a Cuban beach on a sunny day feels like walking through a postcard.

Accommodation in Cuba: Paradisus Varadero

Our Rating: Medium

Paradisus Varadero

Varadero

The Paradisus is well located towards the tip of the Peninsula de Hicacos, set well away from the more built up parts of Varadero. The resort is the best in Varadero and benefits from foreign investment and management by the well established Melia chain, ensuring professional service, nice food and a good standard of accommodation.

The suites are thoughtfully laid out in various low rise blocks which are absorbed well by lush tropical gardens. All the suites are very spacious studio style rooms with a balcony or terrace and they have excellent bathrooms.

It operates on an all inclusive basis and for what it lacks in character it certainly makes up for in extensive facilities, a great location and one of the best beaches in Cuba. Service is friendly and welcoming and numerous excursions and activities can be arranged during your stay.

The Paradisus also has a couple of luxurious Garden Villas located in a private area set away from the rest of the resort. They have cavernous bedrooms, their own swimming pools, separate lounge area and even an observation tower.
