Mexico’s weather varies by region and season, with rains beginning in the south in May and running until October. Although it can be hotter and more humid at this time of year it usually only rains for a couple of hours before the weather clears.

Cuba is at its best during the dry summer days that last from December to May, while from June to November it can be hot, humid and wet.

Guatemala’s wet season runs from May to October, though it generally only rains for a couple of hours a day. December and January see clear blue skies and fresh sunny days.

Belize is hot all year round and humidity is usually high, but from November to January it is slightly cooler. The dry season from January to May is generally the best time to visit, but it may rain at anytime of the year.

The dry season along the Caribbean coast of Honduras lasts from February to June. This is generally the best time to visit, with November to February being the coolest time of year. Inland it may rain all year round.

The best time to visit Nicaragua is in the dry season which runs from November through to May. The wettest months are between June and the end of October when the rain hampers travel on unpaved roads.

Much of Costa Rica is covered by rainforest so expect rain at any time of the year, but there is a dry season on the Pacific coast that runs from December to April and a wet season from May to November.

You can travel to Panama at anytime of the year, but the best time to visit is the dry season that runs between mid-December and mid-April.
