When India formed a constitution this holiday became part of it and subsequently it has become a crucial piece of Indian culture.
Visitors travelling to the exotic location can also expect to enjoy the exciting architecture with sites such as the Taj Mahal providing spectacular scenes.
Built under Emperor Shah Jahan, the Taj Mahal is considered one of the greatest examples of Mughal architecture and combines elements from Persian, Turkish, Indian and Islamic influences.
