The four bedrooms of this quaint tea planter’s bungalow have been meticulously decorated to capture the period atmosphere but there are concessions to the 21st century, such as electric blankets for winter nights. Its beautiful mountain setting is a 45-minute drive from Darjeeling, with views of Kanchenjunga. The estate manager will happily teach you the finer points of tea production on a walking tour of the estate, and there is a river running through the grounds where guests can fish or picnic.
