Lady Connemara moved into this hotel after she quarrelled with her husband, leaving both her name and a distinctive colonial influence. It is located near the former Raj concert hall, now an extensive museum. There are two wings, one with the original Art Deco furnishings and rooms that open onto the pool and garden, and a new wing offering larger, more modern rooms. All are comfortable with TV and minibar. There are two restaurants: the garden restaurant specialises in local cuisine and is considered one of the best in Chennai. The staff are friendly and professional.
