Visit
Lakshadweep Islands,
Kerala
Of the 36 coral islands of Lakshadweep, only two are permitted to accept foreign visitors, and even these can only be reached by boat or helicopter from the archipelago’s airport on Agatti. One of these is Bangaram: uninhabited, isolated and surrounded by turquoise blue waters and white coral sands. To preserve the natural beauty of this idyllic destination the accommodation is low-key with no television or air-conditioning, but the watersports are superb, with excellent scuba diving in the surrounding waters and lagoons rich in marine life.
