Located near the town of Neeleshwar in northern Kerala, Neeleshwar Hermitage is a peaceful retreat set in 12 acres of naturally landscaped grounds.
There are just 16 rooms all of which are beautifully finished in a traditional style with contemporary touches. The resort has recently been built by local craftsmen and many of the furnishings are handmade, giving the rooms a feel of elegance. There are two types of rooms, garden-view cottages and sea-view cottages, each with its own sea-facing balcony.
The resort is situated right on a quiet beach and there is a lovely large pool. Should you tire of relaxing you may like to have a spa treatment, or activities can be arranged such as, yoga and meditation, cultural programmes, and cookery classes. You may like to take a day cruise on the nearby backwaters, visit Bekal Fort or explore the surrounding area on bicycle, all of which the staff can help arrange.
