Places to See and Stay: Devigarh - India

Visit Rajasthan and The North

Devigarh overlooks the small village of Delwara and is located 28km northeast of Udaipur, a convenient and scenic 45 minute drive from the city. The village itself has no major attractions although it does boast four 14th Century Jain Temples and offers the opportunity to experience village life in Rajasthan.

The 450 year old village has a varied community comprising Jhala’s (Rajputs), Patel’s, Gameti’s (Bhil tribe), Muslim’s, and Jain’s and most of its inhabitants work in farming. Nearby there is the picturesque small lake of Bapparawal, and the temples of Eklingji and Nagda.
