An hour north of Jaipur lies the rural town of Samode. Much quieter than Jaipur, this is ideal for gentle walks through atmospheric streets and alleys, discovering artisans’ workshops where traditional crafts. textile printing and miniature painting, are still practiced. Samode can be visited as a day-trip from Jaipur, or by spending one or two nights in either the Samode Palace or a luxury tented camp.
