Attending an International School in Vienna as a child stimulated Beatrice's interest in the wider world from an early age, so during and after university she took a couple of extended trips, during which she discovered a fascination for the Indian Subcontinent. After training as an accountant, Beatrice made a career change and joined Audley Travel. With Audley, she has explored Rajasthan and Northern India, as well as the magical mountain states of Nepal and Bhutan. Here she has walked in the shadow of Everest and Annapurna, visited rural villages in the Kathmandu Valley, ridden elephants and searched for tigers in Chitwan National Park and witnessed typical Bhutanese celebrations on Bhutan National Day. In her spare time, Beatrice enjoys mountain biking, road biking, skiing, and most other outdoor activities.
Upon completion of his university degree at Bristol, Roger travelled extensively throughout Asia, Africa and Europe in his role as a tour leader for a UK adventure-travel company where he indulged his passion for mountains. The highest peaks captured his attention and the Himalaya soon became a firm favourite. Having hung up his leading boots he has returned to Nepal with Audley and enjoyed a more comfortable approach to the mountain experience alongside the rich history of the Kathmandu Valley. Recent travels have also included the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, India's desert state, and time amongst the intoxicating religious reverence displayed in Varanasi on the banks of the Ganges. Outside of the office Roger can be found exploring the UK's high places on foot or by bike with the occasional country pub en route!
