The Everest Summit Lodge at Lukla (2743m) is located right opposite the airport (useful when waiting for your flight to arrive - you can wait in the comfort of your lodge!). Its 17 rooms are spacious and have simple bathrooms with showers with hot and cold running water and western toilets. The rooms have gas heaters in them if you need, but the most cosy option is to adjourn to the dining room, which has a warm wood burning stove. There is also a bar, restaurant and laundry service here, as well as a large garden.
