The Everest Summit Lodge at Tashinga (3450m) is set on an area of open ground amidst pine forests and has views of Ama Dablam, the impressive thumb-shaped mountain with a height of 6812m, from the gardens. The lodge is powered by solar power and the 20 rooms are quite small but are clean and neat with attached bathrooms with hot and cold running water, showers and western toilets. The lodge is decorated in the Tibetan style and the beds are comfortable with cosy bedding. A hot water bottle in your bed at night is a welcome luxury. As in all the lodges, the staff are attentive and friendly and the food is delicious.
