Built by Dwarika Das Shrestha, using exquisitely carved wooden beams and frames from the houses of old Kathmandu, Dwarika’s beautifully recaptures Nepal’s architectural heritage. The rooms are designed using local materials and fabrics, with drapes and bed spreads all bearing the colours of the Nepalese flag. The Krishnarpan restaurant reputedly boasts the best Nepalese food in Kathmandu and the vibrant poolside bar often has live, traditional music. This is Kathmandu’s most characterful hotel and a fantastic experience.
