The Haatiban Resort is located just 15 km from Kathmandu overlooking the Kathmandu valley and the pristine Himalayas. The last part of the drive up to the resort is along a steep track winding upwards through the pine forest. About 20 minutes after leaving the main road you arrive and the incredible views spread out before you. In the evening you can see the lights of the Kathmandu valley twinkling below.
Accommodation is in cottages, all with great views over the mountains. The rooms are spacious but simply furnished with hot water available round the clock. The large dining area also looks out over the valley and on a warm morning you can take breakfast outside and admire the view. There are many trekking opportunities in the area and you could easily spend a few nights at Haatiban just taking day-walks and enjoying the clean mountain air.
