The Fort Resort has the best views of the Himalayas in Nagarkot. It is set on a ridge at the far end of the town, and it seems that there is nothing between you and the vast mountains as you eat or sip your tea on the terrace. The main building is quite large, but is built using traditional Nepali architecture, and the small cottages dotted about the gardens have lovely wood-beamed ceilings and wooden floors. There are huge windows to take in the views and small terraces outside. Delicious local food is served in the restaurant or on the main terrace.
