Pakistan has three seasons - cool, hot and wet - with major regional variations.
In the north, the cool season is from October to February with dry days and cool nights, but passes can be blocked with snow.
It is possible to travel from late spring to early autumn, but the best times are from March to May, with only sporadic showers, or from September to October when the days are usually bright and excellent for photography.
