This former Scottish gentleman’s club offers the conveniences of a modern hotel amidst the oldfashioned charm of Nuwara Eliya. Guests can use the original billiards table, imported from Calcutta well over a century ago, or sip local tea in the immaculate terraced gardens. There is no swimming pool due to the cool climate but plenty to do outdoors, such as taking a walk with the hotel’s resident naturalist or playing a few rounds on the adjoining golf course.
