Diphlu River Lodge
Kaziranga National Park, Calcutta & The East
Diphlu River Lodge is the newest and highest quality accommodation available for visitors to Kaziranga National Park.
With just 12 rooms in total the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Each room is designed in the traditional style of accommodation in the area, rooms are on stilts (the heavy annual monsoon completely floods the park and the surrounding area) and building materials are primarily wood and bamboo.
The lodge is located next to the River Diphlu, which forms the boundary to Kaziranga National Park. Food served is a fusion of local Assamese and continental and there is a well stocked bar where you can enjoy an evening drink. The lodge is around 15 minutes by road from the central range of the park where you can take both jeep and elephant safaris.
