Fateh Prakash
Udaipur, Rajasthan & the North
Fateh Prakash forms part of the extensive City Palace complex in Udaipur, overlooking the lake. Originally built as a guest wing for the Maharana's royal visitors, this part of the palace has now been converted into a hotel for the public. The grand banqueting hall recalls feasts from times past, and the Dovecote wing is a separate building in which all 21 rooms have beautiful lake views.
The rooms have plenty of charm and provide all the comforts one could expect, although it is the views that are the highlight. Guests at Fateh Prakash can dine on fantastic Indian cuisine at the Sun Terrace restaurant whilst admiring the view of the Lake Palace and the Aravalli Hills. Guests of Fateh Prakash can use the facilities of Shiv Niwas, the other hotel located in the complex, which has a good pool in a pleasant courtyard.
The location is ideal with the heart of the Old City is just a stroll away. Of all the hotels that surround Lake Pichola, Fateh Prakash has the views of the Lake Palace that all are envious of.
