Fort Barli is an intimate heritage fort, which dates back to 1675. There are just eight rooms and each is individually styled with traditional Rajasthani decor, the rooms have modern facilities such as fan and air conditioners, a mini bar and tea coffee facilities, however it is the sense of being in a Fort that is a real highlight.
The Fort has been owned by the family for sixteen generations although it has only recently been brought back to its former glory. The family create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and are on hand to explain the history of the property and a tour of the Fort, including an area that is still to be renovated (although at present there are no immediate plans for this), is fascinating and illustrates just how much work has been done to renovate it. There is a small swimming pool and various excursions can be arranged to explore the surrounding countryside.
