Rohetgarh
Rohet, Rajasthan & the North
Less than an hour from Jodhpur, this ancestral home has been converted into a luxury hotel where the descendants of the original owners are your hosts, which makes for an atmospheric alternative to staying in the ‘Blue City’ itself.
It is easy to see how the writers Bruce Chatwin and William Dalrymple gained inspiration for their books whilst staying here. The nearby lake is a haven for waterbirds and a perfect place for a relaxing picnic, while the beautiful gardens are at their best as you sip a chilled fresh lime and soda by the pool.
