A colonial style lounge at Singinawa
Luxury Cottage, Singinawa, Kanha National Park
This is a very welcoming and friendly ecologically friendly lodge. Because the owners are enthusiastic protecters of the forest and wildlife we highly recommend this property.
Set in 58 acres of lush natural forest sits 12 beautifully appointed luxury slate stone cottages.
All cottages have air-conditioning, private bathroom, open fireplaces and large beds. Because not one single tree was felled during the construction of this lodge you will feel complete privacy between each cottage. There is also a heated swimming pool. Within the property grounds you will find a small watering hole and a river that attracts a myriad of local wildlife and bird life.
The owners and hosts of the lodge, Latika and Nanda are both avid wildlife enthusiasts with National Geographic and Discovery film credits to their names. They are both are incredibly interesting and will make your stay both interesting and welcoming. They also have a staff of six naturalists, each with their own jeep to assist you within the park.
Our rating: First Class

If you have some free time whilst in Cochin then I would recommend visiting a spice factory to gain an insight into this most important of south Indian industries. You can often buy the wonderful spices at a fraction of the usual cost.
